The Sovereign Citizen movement, which has been growing since the late 2000s, is characterized by a complex set of antigovernment beliefs, often rooted in racism and anti-Semitism. Members of this movement believe they can selectively obey laws and typically refuse to pay taxes. Their activities range from protests against governments to "paper terrorism," involving the filing of bogus lawsuits and fake liens on properties. In some instances, members of this movement have resorted to violence.

One of the key misconceptions about the Sovereign Citizen movement is the idea that their legal arguments, such as declaring oneself a "Free Man on the Land," have legitimacy in dealing with law enforcement or in court. These claims often revolve around the belief that individuals can declare themselves independent of government jurisdiction and laws. However, these arguments hold no legal basis and are not recognized by courts or law enforcement agencies.

For instance, Sovereign Citizens may argue that they are not subject to certain laws or governmental controls, or that they do not need to possess official documents like driver's licenses or identification cards. When interacting with police officers, they might refuse to provide ID, claiming sovereign status. While these arguments may occasionally confuse or delay interactions with law enforcement, they do not have legal standing. In legal settings, such claims have consistently been dismissed.

The movement has seen notable moments, especially in 2022, involving legal confrontations where adherents' beliefs clashed with the justice system. For example, Darrell Brooks, a self-identified Sovereign Citizen, was tried and sentenced for his attack on a Christmas Parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in 2021. His legal defenses, grounded in Sovereign Citizen beliefs, were ineffective in court.

In summary, while the Sovereign Citizen movement employs a variety of arguments to justify their antigovernment stance, these arguments are not legally valid. Their beliefs and actions often result in confrontations with law enforcement and legal challenges, none of which have provided any legitimacy to their claims under current legal systems.

One of the Primary Misconceptions of the Sovereign Citizen Stems from the Core Argument that First Brings them to the Movement, that is the Strawman Argument, that their Name IN FULL CAPS is a Corporation, that Admiralty Law Applies to the Court because the Courtroom is Modeled after a Ship Deck, and the Judge the Captain, this from the Mayflower Compact, to the Constitution. That is all False, none of that Works in Court. If you want to see, the Moors have Tried all of the Sovereign Citizen Arguments in Court which I was actually surprised to Find and it Hurts their Older Claims that Noble Drew Ali Started, because now the Judges can do what I am about to tell you. Just look for Cases with "Bey" and "El" or "El Bey" or "Bay", and you can Start to Find some of them that aren't Spanish and Things, are Moors from not Morocco, but the Moorish Science Temple. And they have been Trying the Sovereign Arguments in Court, which they never should have. This has always been Wrong.

Please seek Federalism or Anti-Federalism. That is what we are Failing to Teach the Sunnis and the Shias.

If we look more into the Sovereign Citizen Movement what we can see is that there is a Formation of this Ideal that Everyone is Sovereign, if they so know how to Declare it. Sovereign means like a King or Queen, there are Royal Families, like the Hanovers they are German and there is the British Royal Family, those are kind of merged together, the same kind of way Norway and Denmark's Royal Families are Related, all of the Royal Heritages actually go way back and have Standing, in Court. A Sovereign Citizen Declares usually based on just their Flesh Body alone, that now they are no Longer under the Jurisdiction of U.S. Law, and the Word "Jurisdiction" would be used a lot by a Sovereign Citizen, as in Telling the Court that they do not have Jurisdiction, maybe Claiming they are not a Citizen of the United States, there are many Arguments that a Sovereign might make, and many can be Tricky. The Sovereign does not Generally come in and Fraudulently say they are part of a Royal Family, or Request the Court look at their Genetics and Things, the Sovereign Citizen is not the Lost Princess that can be Retrieved and Brought back to her Home Country like in Anastasia, or any kind of Genetic Princess Living in America Movie. The Sovereign Citizen is someone who goes into Court usually because they have been Charged, usually it's not a Lawsuit.

Usually a Sovereign Citizen wants to Drive without a License, that is a Big one, and often this all Starts off very Innocently. A Highschool Kid, Reading Case Law for maybe the First Time, and it's kinda Cool, they do put together some kind of Compelling Arguments with the Universal Commercial Code (UCC) and like, Brother Polight is not a Sovereign, but what he does is he Talks about "Correcting Your Status" and basically has People Buy Timeshares to Represent them as People, that they then do other Things from. That Timeshare being the "Corrected Status" where it is like an Estate that isn't them, but Represents them. Kind of Estate Planning type Things. And the Universal Commercial Code Things the Sovereigns Talk about are Things you could use, but most of it is just like how Barcodes Work and it isn't something Everyone needs to know, and this is how they back up their Argument that Everything is based on Ships and we Live under Admiralty Law and Common Law. And there is Black's Law Dictionary which has Good Stuff, Particularly if you use the 1776 Version or whatever. But if you just Read Black's Law, and Consider Yourself a Lawyer, they are going to ask if you think you are in Britain when you get to Court. You have to use Black's Law Dictionary where it Applies, and then use Case Law, Congressional Law (Statutes), Foundational Law (Constitutional Clauses), and the most important Thing is to be Local. Everything needs to be the Local Court, or the Local Federal Court, or the Supreme Court. But usually, if you Cite the Congressional Code you have done Enough, that is "The Law" that we all think of as it is Written. Case Law being the Law as it is Interpreted, with Balancing Tests and Things, and Foundational Law being how the Congress and the Courts interact, and what the President might do, etc. Then, the Amendments are part of that.

So now, when you have gone from the Mayflower to Ships and Flags, you've Started making some sense to some People, add the Federal Reserve History, and some Random Laws that were Never Signed by Congress, Real Shady Things Written on Paper by Congress People. Real Congress People. Or maybe not Shady, maybe Amazing, Things that would have been Great if they were True. And these Sovereign Citizens are Citing these saying we can all Claim $1,000,000 just by Filing a UCC whatever, Blah, Blah, like how does someone even get to there from saying the Constitution is the Key. Like, a Sovereign would Generally be Viewed from the outside in as a Constitutional Defender, but it is something something more Sinister maybe, I didn't Learn about it until after I thought it was Innocent when I had Learned about this all in Highschool, and I saw that they were Killing Cops when they Pulled them over and Things. And the World is Serious, there are People that are High Society saying they Follow the Law doing Outrageous Despicable Things, imagine how bad it can get when you are the King, when you think you are the King of Everything around you and the Police don't matter, and you have no Reason to Believe this except some Things in the Bible about like God making men Stewards over the Earth or something, and 1800s Case Law, where American Judges can be Quoted saying that the Law of Nature says that Men can not Own one Another, but the Law of Man says they can and Awarding Slaves as Property. People are going way back, and not even Citing that, they are Citing Things about Travel, and Identification on Roadways, and Carrying Guns (Texas has allowed Open Carry now), and all Kinds of Things. Sovereign Citizens are usually doing what they are doing because they have gotten into some kind of Trouble, and they are Declaring that the Court did not have Jurisdiction over them.

And most Judges have very Simply used the 14th Amendment and other Things, there was a Time when we were all Citizens of our States and we could Decide to be a US Citizen, except Slaves and Immigrants and Everything, but once the 14th Amendment was Created, Everyone Born in the United States was a Citizen of the United States, Subject to the Laws of the United States. So this has Created a lot of Case Law about how anyone can File a Case here, sometimes even if they aren't in the United States. But there is a lot of Case Law about all of this, and there is no Reason to ignore it in favor of an Argument all out of Black's Law Dictionary. And what Happened Next is this, all of the Rights were Incorporated into the 14th Amendment. So, in Cantwell v. Connecticut, the Rights from the 1st-10th Amendments became Incorporated into the 14th, so that if you Call up the 1st Amendment or 2nd Amendment in a Criminal Case, it then is like a Defendant and under Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 5.1, or State Rules that you should look at and Follow, you can Sue the Attorney General for example as a Representative of all of this and the AG becomes a Defendant. And this is part of Laws Called like Federal Enforcement Acts, which were the First Civil Rights Acts, and the Civil Rights Acts Secured all of these Rights, and you can Sue under Sec. 1983, look at like 1982 1984 and Things also, and 242 and 243 in the Criminal Code, and other Laws. You can Sue Officials for not doing the Constitutional Duties and Things. All of this is Real. If you say "I'm not that ALL CAPS NAME there!" they will say "What should we call you then? We can call you whatever you want."
